Swanton, OH became incorporated in 1883. Its name was derived from nearby Swan Creek and the town is split between Fulton and Lucas Counties. Swanton is an appealing area for residents who desire a rural, small town setting with easy access to Toledo. It's also convenient for frequent travelers as the Toledo Express Airport is located in the township.
